Prince George 100 Miler
Prince George Monumental 100 Miler Three geographical regions and a World Heritage Site in a single day. The 100 miler leaves Prince Albert in the Great Karoo and goes straight up — a 20 km climb over the Swartberg Pass — before dropping into the Klein Karoo and running east through Matjiesvlei, Wildehondekloof and the ostrich farms to finish at Louvain Guest Farm outside Herold. 167 km, 2 600 m of climbing. The 73 km option starts at Highgate, halfway along, and takes in the farmland, Herold and Ezeljagspoort for 1 000 m of climbing. Gravel bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes all welcome. The organisers call it the most diverse one-day race you'll ever experience, and the route backs it up.
